Dude all of my fucking animations got deleted from the movies section, like wtf Newgrounds they were just stick man animations
Update: I figured it out. It was the file type I used for the videos. Now they're all mp4s,so I hope it doesn't happen again.

Your submissions were (most likely) getting deleted because they did not meet the quality standards of the users who watched them while they were under judgement. The link "Help / FAQ" that's on every page of Newgrounds can help you better understand how stuff works. We also have a help forum with very kind users who help others around the clock.
As a rule of thumb: Try to make some improvements to your videos instead of just re-uploading them.
Concerning your Update: The file type should have very little impact on the ratings. There's (for instance) still a good part of the community who can play SWF files - just as there are users who cannot play certain games because they would have to install browser AddOns for them. Using MP4 makes a submission more accessible, but that just means a higher 'volume' of ratings - not 'better ratings'.
Aside from that conversion often means some quality will be lost. If you ever want to upload short animations with no audio and are worried about quality loss, you could use animated PNGs. The format has been around for a while now and is hence supported by pretty much everything worth using.

If something is removed (most likely to low votes), you shouldn’t reupload it as-is. Try improving on what you think you were downvoted for before uploading it again.
